Dynamic crankshaft measurement

The purpose of this measurement is to determine the axial or radial run-out of the face toothing in relation to the bearings A or B. Moreover, a linear dimension is determined.

The operator places the workpiece on the extendable bench, and pushes it in. After that, the two tips are advanced manually. The tips will thus pry out the shaft. Now, the operator can start the measuring procedure using a pedal control. The motions and the length are determined during a rotation through 360 degrees. As this is a face toothing, adjustment is the essential point of precise measurement, and, in the end, of the suitability for gages.

The standard reference gage

The standard reference gage is fully matt chromium-plated. The core is the mock-up of a face toothing, a lifting bearing, and of the mutual concentricity of the two centers.
