Several radial or axial run-outs are measured on this shaft. Tolerances for these run-outs on the workpiece are specified up to 0.02 mm.
The operator inserts the shaft and feeds both measuring units by means of a lever. After fixing the shaft by means of a second lever, a 360-degree rotation is initiated using a proximity switch. The radial run-out of the toothing is picked up by a measured gear wheel.
